Avoid the Fear Traps Happening in Real Estate

When major disruption takes place like what we’re experiencing in real estate...
The aftermath of NAR settlement and industry adjusting to policy changes coupled with misinformation that creates more confusion than transparency.
We have natural instincts that are automatic and that kick in, in response to the disruption, often the response is fear.
It’s natural to feel fear when there’s uncertainty or when there’s a lot of confusion.
This natural instinct is survival based which is a good thing, but it can become a block towards progress.
It becomes a fear trap that you must avoid and it’s happening in real estate right now.
The dust is trying to settle, we’re in the midst of making adjustments, and helping buyers and sellers adjust.
But if you’re running into constant challenges, experiencing or witnessing a lot of resistance, and are feeling frustrated...
It’s likely you’re stuck in the survival response to the circumstances.
In my personal experience I’ve found it extremely important to understand the instinctual response mechanisms that fire off when something major happens including understanding how to navigate out of fear so you're able to thrive no matter what’s happening.
The best way to go about it, is follow a specific process that allows you to take your focus off the uncertainty or the out of control circumstances and put it onto something you have control over.
When you do this it will...
- Separate you from the confusion and chaos
- Position you to be a calm and grounding force, which will draw people to you
- Help safeguard your time, energy, and efforts
- Set you up to progress towards the outcome you prefer
My goal is to collaborate with real estate professionals by offering support to move beyond the instinctual responses to the disruption that has taken place and to assist agents to usher in the new normal with confidence.
Part of my efforts to fulfill this goal and support agents during this historical time in the real estate industry - I did an entire training on the instinctual response to major disruptions like the NAR Settlement, significant changes such as the policy changes, the adjustment of buyer’s and buyer agent’s habits around the home buying process, and the misinformation that is causing more confusion than transparency.
The training covers the formula to move beyond the instinctual response mechanisms and how to navigate the disruption from an elevated vantage point. All while positioning you to be a calming and leading force to help buyers and sellers adjust quickly to the industry changes, and seize a majority opportunity to be one of the main beneficiaries of these changes.
